My Safe Place

The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed,
    a stronghold in times of trouble.
 Those who know your name trust in you,
    for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you. Psalm 9:9-10 NIV

Our God is faithful. No matter what situation we face we can take comfort in knowing that God is the safe place that we can turn to. We can run to Him and know that He will always be there for us.

Today another senseless act of violence has shaken our Country but I know that God is my refuge. He is the One that I trust in. I am thankful for that assurance that no matter what...no matter what...God is our comforter, safe place and protector. I can trust in Him and He will never let me down.

As For Me, I Will Always Have hope!

As for me, I will always have hope; I will praise you more and more.My mouth will tell of your righteous deeds, of your saving acts all day long—though I know not how to relate them all. I will come and proclaim your mighty acts, Sovereign LORD; I will proclaim your righteous deeds, yours alone. Since my youth, God, you have taught me,and to this day I declare your marvelous deeds. Even when I am old and gray, do not forsake me, my God, till I declare your power to the next generation, your mighty acts to all who are to come. Psalm 71:14-18 NIV This section of scripture spoke out to me this morning. As for me I will always have hope! I will praise you more and more! My mouth will tell of your righteous deeds even if I might not know how to relate them all....even if I might not understand them at the moment, I will still praise You O God. I have had the Lord do marvelous deeds for me throughout my life. We as humans, tend to forget the great stuff when we get tired and worn.
